Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary and in charge Jammu and Kashmir, Tarun Chug Saturday termed National Conference as confused and defused party.

Chug said that the NC has been playing hypocritical role in Jammu and Kashmir.

“It was NC, which first imposed ban on Jamaat-e-Islami and now they are welcoming the organisation’s participation in the polls and playing a blame game,” he said.

He said that the party leader Omar Abdullah had made it clear that he won’t contest in the assembly elections ti the restoration of Statehood, but the party is so confused and even defused that it didn’t stick to its commitments.

Chug also said that the party has been misleading people in the name Article 370. “First, the party is mentioning restoration of Article 370 in its manifesto and now has been claiming that it would take even 100 years to restore it,” Chug added.

“Restoring Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood is BJP’s top priority. PM Narendra Modi has assured the people that after the assembly elections, when the situation normalizes, statehood will be reinstated.” – Tarun Chugh

He further said that he party is confident of winning majority of seats in Jammu and Kashmir and form the next government

“For the first time, Jammu and Kashmir will have a chief minister from the BJP as the party is strong enough to defeat its rivals, who are even in alliance to face the BJP candidates,” he said.
