Srinagar, Aug 28: The government of Jammu and Kashmir has accepted the ‘technical resignation’ of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) who cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) CSE 2023.
Mohammad Farhan Seh, a DySP, had tendered his technical resignation, which has been accepted by the government in accordance with Article 201 of J&K CSR Vol-1.
Farhan qualified for the Jammu and Kashmir Police Service (JKPS) in 2020 and was serving as a DySP in the J&K Police. However, in 2023, he cleared the UPSC exam, securing the 369th rank.
Farhan told Rising Kashmir that he was allocated to the Indian Revenue Services (Income Tax) – IRS (IT) in the Civil Services 2024 batch.
He said he is currently undergoing training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.
