Ganderbal, Aug 11: In a joint operation, the Jawahar institute of mountaineering and winter sports and Sonamarg Police successfully rescued two individuals who had become stranded at a high altitude near Fish Point in Sonamarg, Central Kashmir.
The two individuals, reportedly from Srinagar, had ventured to Fish Point during a picnic when they inadvertently climbed to a precarious altitude and became stuck. Upon spotting their distress, concerned locals immediately alerted the Sonamarg Police and Jawahar institute of mountaineering and winter sports
The rescue teams responded swiftly, launching a challenging operation to reach the stranded individuals. After a significant effort, both were safely brought down from the difficult terrain.
Authorities have issued a warning to all visitors, advising against climbing such risky areas without proper preparation or guidance.
