Baramulla, Aug 06: In a dedicated effort to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility, Information Department Baramulla, in collaboration with the BSF 112 Battalion on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive cleanliness drive as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative.
The drive focused on cleaning the barracks, office, and surrounding areas, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for all personnel and staff.
The cleanliness drive saw enthusiastic participation from District Information Officer Baramulla, Iftakhar Naseem; Assistant Commandant Ruchi; officials of the Information Department, and jawans of BSF 112 Battalion. Activities included sweeping, garbage collection, and proper disposal of waste, as well as awareness campaigns through Social Media about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in daily life.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Information Officer highlighted the significance of such initiatives, stating, “Swachhata Pakhwada provides an excellent opportunity for us to reaffirm our commitment to the Swachh Bharat Mission. By collaborating with the BSF, we aim to set an example and encourage others to contribute towards a cleaner India.”
Assistant Commandant expressed her satisfaction with the event, emphasizing the role of disciplined forces in leading by example. “Our personnel are always ready to serve the nation, and participating in Swachhta Pakhwada aligns with our values of discipline and responsibility.
