Chandigarh, July 30: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Lok Sabha leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of dividing society.
In a statement, Chugh said, “Rahul Gandhi’s address in the Lok Sabha was only aimed at fomenting a class divide in society for his political gameplan. He (Rahul) seemed to be playing in the hands of foreign forces to create a class divide and push the nation into a situation of unrest.”
He added, “Instead of talking about various highlights of the budget, Rahul’s focus was to create a divide at a time when the Modi government was building an all-encompassing idiom of ‘Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas’. There was a sense of desperation and frustration in all that he was saying in the Lok Sabha and it was one of the most shameful moments in the Parliamentary democracy.”
The BJP leader also condemned the protest organised by the INDI Alliance in favour of the jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, terming it a “blatant attempt to influence the judiciary and to spread falsehood in society”. (KNS)
