‘Prioritize public issues, ensure welfare benefits reach the needy’
Reiterates UT admin’s commitment to effective public service delivery

Srinagar, June 28: In a recent session of “LG’s Mulaqaat,” Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha engaged with applicants of J&K Integrated Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (JK-IGRAMS) via video conferencing at the Civil Secretariat. During the live public grievance hearing, several issues were promptly addressed by the Lt Governor himself. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to prioritizing public concerns and ensuring the efficient delivery of social welfare benefits.
“Empowering the disadvantaged sections of society is our prime objective,” remarked the Lt Governor, underscoring the administration’s focus on robust monitoring mechanisms across districts to address citizen needs effectively. He also highlighted ongoing efforts in capacity building aimed at bolstering a people-centric governance framework.
Among the issues raised, the Lt Governor directed officials to take stringent action against illegal mining activities in PanchayatAthamMohraPandoo following a complaint by Balwant Singh from Jammu. Immediate steps were also instructed for the construction of a boundary wall at Government Middle School Mallar, addressing concerns raised by Ajay Kumar from Kathua.
Responding to grievances related to infrastructure projects, including the Seer to Nambal Bridge in Anantnag, the Lt Governor assured effective measures for timely completion. He also acknowledged and resolved issues such as delayed issuance of Domicile and ST certificates, as highlighted by MusharafNaik from Poonch.
Furthermore, the Lt Governor extended directives to ensure adequate facilities for ShriAmarnathJi pilgrims and to prepare in advance for the forthcoming Muharram. The session was attended by senior officials including AtalDulloo, Chief Secretary, and Dheeraj Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Forests, both in person and virtually.
