Srinagar, June 13: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday extended warm greetings to the people, especially the Kashmiri Pandits on the eve of Mela Kheer Bhawani, which is being celebrated at the historic temple of central Kashmir’s Tulmulla on Friday.
In his message, Altaf Bukhari said, “The Kheer Bhawani Mela has been the hallmark of the pluralistic ethos of Jammu and Kashmir. For centuries, this sacred festival has been playing a pivotal role in promoting harmony between the communities in Jammu and Kashmir. On this spiritual occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani, I extend my heartfelt greetings to everyone, especially the Pandit brethren.”
He added, “May this occasion usher peace, harmony and brotherhood among the communities. I request Pandit brothers and sisters to pray for the sustained peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir, on this revered occasion.”
