Jammu, Jan 03: Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma on Wednesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, saying it played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the government and the grassroots.
“This yatra is not just about spreading awareness about the plethora of schemes available to our citizens. It is about ensuring that no one, especially the most vulnerable sections of our society, gets left behind in the march towards a developed India,” he said as the yatra reached Ward-7 of MC Ghou Manhasan in Jammu.
The MP’s presence resonated with the aspirations of the locals. Accompanied by SDM Manu Hansa, Tehsildar Rampal Sharma and other dignitaries, MP Sharma first paid his respects at the revered Narsimha Temple, seeking blessings for the yatra’s noble mission.
The MP embarked on a captivating journey through the heart of Ward-7. He visited stalls showcasing local handicrafts and entrepreneurial ventures, engaging in warm conversations with residents and inquiring about their well-being.
The event also witnessed a heartening moment when Ayushman cards and approval letters for widow, old age and disability pensions were distributed to eligible beneficiaries. The yatra’s success resonated in the presence of distinguished guests and eminent citizens besides the locals.
