9.94 cr sanctioned for air conditioning of OPDs, wards at GMCH Jmu

Srinagar, Jan 17: Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Department has sanctioned approval for the Provision of Air Conditioning System in the remaining wards and OPDs of GMCH, Jammu for execution within the estimated cost of 9.94 crore.
The H&ME in an order said that the proposals shall be strictly devised and designed as per latest relevant I.S codes and specifications of MoRTH/ PWD/CPWD and the same is authenticated and checked by competent authority before taking up execution work.
As per order, the Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic Components are authenticated and technically vetted by the competent authorities of relevant fields and the standard specifications are followed as per the CPWD, NBC and IS standards.
The concerned have been instructed that the specifications as defined in CPWD plinth area rate schedule for the type of structures, proposed in the DPR, are followed and adopted for the execution of the works.
“The rates for items not covered in JK SSR or any other relevant schedule shall conform to the analysis of rates based on authentic Data Book, to be computed and approved by competent authority well before the invitation of tenders following set procedures,” it said.
The order said e-tendering mode should be followed for fixation of the award of contract for execution of the project. “Fragmentation of projects, while tendering, is not allowed,” it said.
It added that Technical Vetting is for the purpose of accord of administrative approval and shall not be construed as any rate approval of project or any approval for inclusion in the plan.
As per the order the technical sanction should be in place before execution of the project and timeline should be strictly adhered to. It said no cost escalation/time-over-run shall be admissible under any circumstances, whatsoever.
