Jammu, Nov 25: It will be the battle of equals in the 20 final bouts slated for tomorrow as 9 J&K players will be fighting in the equally poised bouts for the Gold medals in the ongoing 68th National School Games in the discipline of Wushu U-17 Boys and Girls, being organised by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports J&K, under the auspices of School Games Federation of India (SGFI) at Indoor Sports Complex Bhagwati Nagar here.
The boys from J&K who made it to the finals included Suryansh Singh in -60 kg category, Arham Parray in -70 kg category, Mehran Amin in -75 kg category, Umaan Arif in -80 kg category and Mohd Haseeb in -85 kg category, while the four female athletes from J&K who sealed berth in the finals included Jiya Manhas, Aliza Shah, Saliqa Farooq and Sadiya Gulzar.
In the boys section finals,-40 kg weight category, Pankaj Nayan of Bihar will take on Rajesh Nag of Odisha, in -45 kg category Nikhil of Delhi will face Madan Munda of Odisha, in -48 kg category Aashu of Rajasthan will lock horns with Rajesh Munda of Odisha, in -52 kg category Kati Yangfo of AR will face Mayank Rosa of Uttar Pradesh, in -56 kg category, Asem Drubarraj Singh of Manipur will play with Kargom Kamchan of AR, in -60 kg category Suryansh Singh of J&K will face Rudraksh Ameriya of Rajasthan, in -65 kg category Anshul Bhatt of Uttar Pradesh will meet Sunil of Rajasthan, in -70 kg category Mohd Arham Parray of J&K will take on Laishram of Manipur, in -75 kg category, Mehran Amin Bangoo of J&K will lock horns with Vipul Khatri of Delhi, in -80 kg category Umaan Arif of J&K will face Prashant Kumar of CBSE and in -85 kg category
Mohd Haseeb Sohil of Jammu and Kashmir will take on Prince Kumar of Delhi.
Meanwhile, in the U-17 girls -45kg weight category finals, Jia Manhas of J&K will take on Bhaumika of Chandigarh, in -52 kg category Saliqa Farooq of J&K will meet Zureen Pagu of Assam, in -60 kg category Aliza Shah of J&K will face Riya Mishra of Rajasthan, in -70 kg category Sadiya Gulzar of J&K will lock horns with Ahilya Lavate of Maharashtra.

Suryansh Singh of J&K beat Dileswar Majhi of Odisha in semifinal bout to seal berth in the finals, while in -70 kg category
Mohd Arham Parray of J&K beat Mukul Khatri of Delhi to enter the finals,
In -75 kg category
Mehran Amin Bangoo of J&K drubbed Ajay Chavan of Maharashtra to make it to the finals, while in -80 kg category
Umaan Arif of J&K trounced Nikhil Khatri of Delhi and in -85 kg category, Mohd Haseeb Sohil of J&K defeated Rahit Sarkar of West Bengal in semifinal bout to seal berth in the finals.
In -45 kg weight category
Jia Manhas of J&K got the better of Himani of Rajasthan, in -52 kg category Saliqa Farooq of J&K prevailed over Dilpreet Kaur of Chandigarh, in -60 kg category Aliza Shah of J&K beat Anushka Pandey of MP, in -70 kg category Sadiya Gulzar of jk beat Ishan Sharma of CBSE and in -65 kg category Anum Ajaj of J&K lost to Shagun Singh of Rajasthan to settle for a bronze medal.
Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K, Sh Rajinder Singh Tara inaugurated the medal bouts today.
He was accompanied by Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports Central, Sh Jitendra Mishra; District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu, Harvinder Kaur and Chief Wushu Coach of India and Dhronacharya Awardee, Kuldeep Handoo.
