Ananya, Mariya, Shambhavi guide J&K to big win over Meghalaya

Rajkot, Oct 04: Deceptive military medium Ananya Dogra and genuine quick bowler Mariya Noorain showed extraordinary bowling skills, while skipper Shambhavi Rajput displayed brilliant skills with the willow as Jammu and Kashmir crushed Meghalaya by 8 wickets in the ongoing U-19 Women’s T20 Trophy at Sanosara Cricket Ground Rajkot on Fridayss.
Meghalaya scored paltry 55 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 7 wickets.
Skipper M. Singh (17) and Natasha (12) were the main contributors, while all other batters failed to cross the double figure mark.
Ananya Dogra was the pick of the bowlers for J&K, who took 3 wickets by conceding just 5 runs in her 4 overs, while Mariya Noorain bagged 2 wickets by giving away 8 runs in her 4 overs.
In reply, J&K chased the target easily in 9.4 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus winning the match by 8 wickets.
Shambhavi Rajput top scored with 28 runs off 33 balls with 5 boundaries, while Alisa Jan and Bhagya Lakshmi contributed 7 runs each.
M Singh took one wicket for Meghalaya.
