6 persons held for illegal extraction of minerals in Baramulla: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested six persons and also seized six vehicles involved in illegal transportation of minerals in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. 

 

 

A Police spokesperson said that Police under the supervision of Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by Inspr Waseem Jahangir, SHO PS Sheeri seized 4 Tractors and arrested 4 persons namely Muzamil Ahmad Bhat S/0 Bilal Ahmad Bhat R/0 Zogiyar, Mudasir Rasheed Dar S/0 Abdul Rasheed Dar R/0 Heewan, Firdous Ahmad Malla S/0 Mohd Sarwar Malla R/0 Sheeri & Tajamul Bashir Malla S/0 Bashir Ahmad Malla R/0 Sheeri at Mundri Nallah Fatehgarh who were found involved in illegal excavation/ transportation of minerals 

 

Similarly at Juhama Baramulla, Police led by PSI Showkat Ahmad, IC PP Delina* seized 1 Tipper & 1 Tractor and arrested 2 persons namely Nisar Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohd Ramzan Bhat R/O Delina & Ab Majeed Lone S/O Ab Aziz R/O Kachwa Muqam Chandoosa who were found involved in illegal excavation/ transportation of minerals.

 

He said that Cases FIR under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Sheeri & Baramulla and investigation set in motion.
