Jammu, Feb 06: There are 594 vacant posts of lecturers in Billawar Assembly constituency of Jammu region and have been referred to Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC).
This was informed by the government in the Assembly on Thursday in response to a question by the MLA Satish Sharma of Billawar Assembly Constituency.
More vacancies are being calculated under different cadres and the shortage of the staff in schools is also being met through rationalization and cluster resource coordinators on regular basis as per the requirement, the government said.
During the current financial year 2024-25, an amount of Rs 472.74 lakhs has been approved under UT/ District Capex Budget and Samagra Shiksha-J&K against which an amount of 152.88 lakh has been released against 142 educational institutions of Billawar Constituency, the government said.
