Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reaches Dinga-Amb, Baggan, Mahanpur Panchayats in District Kathua

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) activities commenced today in different Panchayats of block Dinga Amb, Baggan, Mahanpur and Hiranagar of district Kathua.

 The Yatra commenced at Panchayat Dhalli, Sallan and Chialkh-East of Block Dinga-Amb, Panchayat Baggan-Lower, Baggan-Uppar and Baggan-Uppar-A of Block Baggan and Panchayat Kehlari, Sabar and Poonda of Block Mahanpur.

The Yatra was accorded a warm welcome by PRIs, Senior Citizens, Officials and local residents and were engaged with knowledge enriching audio-video material screened on Special IEC Vans.  They listened attentively to a recorded video message from the Prime Minister, emphasizing the significance of the campaign. Participants took the Viksit Sankalp Bharat pledge, affirming their commitment to holistic national development.

The locals in these Panchayats were provided information about different government schemes and initiatives. Besides engaging and immersing them in scheduled activities including pledge taking, medical camps were organized to provide health services to the local people at their doorsteps.

During the day long events, students also showcased their artistic talents through mesmerizing cultural performances wherein local Dance and Musical folklore exhibiting the diverse cultural heritage, fostering a sense of unity and celebration among the spectators.

Beneficiaries also expressed their successful journey of transition in the special segment “Meri Kahani, Meri Zubani” where they sepak about the positive impact of flagship programmes of the government on their lives.

Special Drone demonstration besides interactions with progressive farmers was held wherein adoption of organic Farming was advocated by the field functionaries of the Agriculture department.

The Yatra has been rolled out with the intention to reach out to the unreached population and making the general masses aware of the multitude of government schemes, including the Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM PRANAM Yojana and Urea Subsidy Scheme and the process to avail benefits.
