SSM College of Engineering, Salvatore Int’l School celebrate Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas

Srinagar, Nov 15: Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas was celebrated in SSM College of Engineering, Divar, and Salvatore International School, Sumbal,on Tuesday.
At SSM College, the celebrations were organised by the Literature Club of the college. Students from various departments participated in the event and spoke about the contributions of brave tribal freedom fighters like BirsaMunda, Rani Gaidenliu, Siddhu and Kanu. The college administration said these events are important for the students as it will make them and the coming generations aware about the Indian Freedom struggle.
At Salvatore International School, the students from the lower primary department spoke about the contributions of the brave tribal freedom fighters like BirsaMunda, Rani Gaidenliu, Siddhu and Kanu who played a key role in the Indian freedom struggle.
The teachers shed light on the cultural contributions of these freedom fighters and felicitated the young students who participated in the celebration. The school administration said that Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is an important event as it will make the coming generations aware of the sacrifices made by tribal freedom fighters during India’s Independence movement. Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is celebrated by the Ministry of Education on 15th November since 2021 as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
