In continuation to all round development initiated by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and LG Manoj Sinha of Jammu & Kashmir UT, Jammu Municipal Corporation is going to initiate a historical step towards all round development of Jammu City.
In this direction a new reorientation of the working system was launched by Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Rajinder Sharma here at a press conference held in Councilors hall.
In this new & historical step initiated by the Mayor, a comprehensive working culture in a versatile manner has surfaced in Jammu Municipal Corporation from today itself.
All controlling officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation from different sections have deputed their officers/officials for inspection of the development works activities going on in Jammu City.
The inspection and monitoring of various works would be held Ward wise and twice a week in close co-ordination with the Councilors of the respective wards as desired by the Mayor.
A comprehensive roster for all 75 wards of JMC has been framed by controlling officers and clubbed in a way that during inspections no field of work activities is left, as per the direction of the Mayor. The roster will be accessible to the Councilors as well as officials.
This new concept of inspection and monitoring of work activities at street to street and door to door would not leave the Jammuites deprived of development. This concept of Mayor has been hailed & applauded by Dy. Mayor and all Councilors as well as officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
The Mayor, while interacting with media persons, said that all Councilors have committed that they will work together for all round development of City of Jammu, keeping at bay the lines and differences, if any.
While interacting with media persons in presence of Dy Mayor B.S Bilawaria, Chairman of the Health & Sanitation Raj Kumar Tarkhan, Chairman of the Swachh Bharat Committee, M.S Mankotia and Chairman of Social Justice Committee, Ajay Gupta and Councilors of JMC, the curiosity and strong urge of Mayor Rajinder Sharma for development in a transparent, neat & clean work culture with all round development was self speaking.
While concluding, the Mayor said that he will extend his full support for hard working and upright officers and shall reward them as well.
The action shall follow against those who are divulging from the pledge of honesty and integrity taken a couple of days back in the Conference Hall of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
