The city of Srinagar is seeing a significant increase in fire incidents, with the majority of them occurring during the winter. Last year, the city reported more than 200 fire incidents in which property worth millions was gutted into ashes.
The department of fire and emergency management is labelling people's negligence responsible for the rise in fire incidents. They believe that people are leaving their gadgets unattended during the night hours, which is causing fire incidents in the city.
