Five accused held for beating, looting man in Srinagar: Police

Five accused were arrested for beating and snatching mobile, ATM card & some pocket money from a man in Alochibagh area of Central Kashmir's Srinagar district, Police said on Friday.
In a tweet, Srinagar Police informed, "Yesterday evening one Sahil Farooq Malik of Alochibagh was looted while on his way, some persons beat him & snatched his mobile, ATM card & some pocket money. Within 24 hrs all 5 accused were arrested & looted items were recovered. FIR no 05/2023 already registered at Shergari PS."
"These accused are found to be consumers of drugs & are nuisance in that area", police said
Police identified the accused as Anayat Latief aged 23 Yrs, Asif Mushtaq Sofi aged 22 yrs, Zahid Sheikh aged 19 yrs (all 3 from aloochibagh), Waseem Bangroo aged 28 yrs of Lakishmanpora, Amir Yousuf aged 25 yrs of SD Colony.
