Katra, August 21: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) marked World Entrepreneurs’ Day with a special event aimed at encouraging innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among students. Organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with the Innovation and Incubation Council (IIC), the event featured expert talks from the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI).
Sourab Mengi, Assistant Manager at JKEDI’s Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Business Modelling, and Mrs. Shivani Sharma, Assistant Faculty at JKEDI, delivered insightful lectures. Their talks focused on the latest policies and opportunities within the startup and innovation ecosystem, providing valuable guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs.
The event was coordinated by Assistant Professors Dr. Varun Dutta, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, and Dr. Rajiv Kumar. It witnessed the participation of Prof. R.K. Mishra, Dean of Student Welfare, and Prof. Balbir Singh, Dean of Academic Affairs, among others.
