Jammu, Sept 18: Apni Party’s provincial vice president and former MLA, Faqir Nath on Thursday accused the authorities of permitting the operations of mining mafia and exploitation of the natural resources in an unaccounted manner, saying it has snatched the bread and butter from the hands of the local youth.
Campaigning in favour of the party’s candidate for Jammu South, Pavneet Kour, Nath reacted sharply to the increasing complaints against the mining mafia. He said the party will not allow the mining mafia to operate in Jammu & Kashmir after October 08, 2024 – following the declaration of the legislative assembly results. He sought votes and support from the people for Kour.
“We will throw the mining mafia out of Lakhanpur on October 8, 2024,” the former MLA said, adding, “The authorities will be held accountable and the seized vehicles will be released once the Apni Party forms the government in J&K or its MLA gets elected from the said constituency.”
The Apni Party leader said the people avoid speaking out the truth fearing action from the authorities. However, the party is committed to speaking the truth to the powers in any case, he said, adding, “We will not tolerate the grab of resources by the outsiders, especially when the unemployment is increasing among the educated youth and they are inclining towards the crime and indulgence to the drug addiction.”
Nath reaffirmed his commitment to fighting corruption and promised to “cleanse” Lakhanpur of the mining mafia, which he said has been exploiting the region for far too long.
In his speech, he called on the people of Jammu South to unite in their fight against corruption by supporting the Apni Party’s candidate. “This is a fight for the common man,” he said, adding, “Pavneet Kour is the best option to lead the people of Jammu South into a future free of corruption, where justice and transparency prevail.”
Addressing the gathering, Kour reiterated her dedication to the people, promising 500 units of free electricity for every household and a commitment to improving the lives of the common people. She called upon the voters to trust her leadership and work together for a corruption-free, prosperous Jammu South.
