REASI, DEC 29: A delegation of youth from Palaash Mahore recently had a unique and enriching encounter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during their Watan Ko Jano tour as part of the Youth Exchange Programme.
This significant initiative, orchestrated in Delhi, aims to expose youth to the abundant social and cultural tapestry of India, fostering integration, particularly for those impacted by militancy, children from Bal Ashrams, Nari Niketans under the aegis of the Social Welfare Department, and wards of various orphanages.
Comprising 33 youths representing the diverse spectrum of the region, the group embarked on a transformative journey to Jaipur and New Delhi on December 14th of this year. The expedition is poised to forge emotional, cultural, and social connections, weaving them into the broader fabric of our nation.
During their interaction, Prime Minister Modi engaged with the youth, sharing insights and delving into various facets of India’s diversity. Of notable mention was his emphasis on the significance of the world’s highest railway bridge situated in District Reasi, showcasing India’s engineering prowess.
The Prime Minister also displayed a keen interest in the locales that resonated with the youth during their journey, touching upon shared interests, particularly in the realm of sports. Encouraging the youth to actively participate in sports, he cited the inspiring example of Sheetal Devi, an award-winning para archer from Jammu and Kashmir. Modi urged them to follow her path and excel in their chosen fields.
