Srinagar, Sep 19: In order to conduct elections of all District Football Associations in J&K (UT) and to overlook daily activities of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association WasimAslam was officially appointed as Chairman of J&K Football Association in a meeting held at Polo ground on Monday.
As per the JKFA official, General Secretary J&K Football Association Prof B.A. Malik along with various office bearers and stakeholders of football, officially appointed WasimAslam as the Chairman of J&K Football Association today.
WasimAslam is a prominent sports promoter and has played a pivotal role in the recently held Srinagar football elections.
The meeting was attended by many sports promoters and representatives of most of the associate clubs.
In the meeting, the recently elected office bearers of Srinagar Football Association, President DFA Srinagar Bashir Malik, Secretary DFA Srinagar, ShowkatMasoodi and Treasurer DFA Srinagar, ZahoorTeli were all felicitated by Professor Bashir Ahmad Shah and Chairman WasimAslam JKFA as they took charge of the office formally.
