New Delhi/Jammu, Dec 11: In a video conferencing workshop titled ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth,’ Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the transformative power inherent in the youth to shape the developmental vision of society. Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the workshop aimed to tap into the influential ideas of the youth that could propel the nation’s development agenda.
Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister for fostering a robust education ecosystem and strengthening industrial-academic relations over the past nine years, LG Sinha highlighted the unprecedented opportunity for the youth to become key stakeholders in a development revolution.
“The ‘Voice of Youth’ initiative is a platform to turn the imaginative innovations and ideas of the youth into tangible realities.,” LG  said. He urged Vice Chancellors and other stakeholders to develop a structured format and transformative agenda that would empower the youth to actively contribute to the mission of building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and elevate Jammu and Kashmir to a top-performing region.
LG Sinha emphasized the historical significance of educational institutions as catalysts for the transformation of developed countries, citing the need for cost-effective technology and the viability of new initiatives. The workshop, he believed, would serve as a guiding force to accelerate growth.
Underscoring the importance of teamwork and collaborative creativity, LG Sinha acknowledged the immense energy of students in rallying around common goals and inspiring societal participation. He stated that students are now being entrusted with the responsibility of contributing to the development of the nation as part of ‘Viksit Bharat.’
Looking ahead to the next 20 years, LG Sinha expressed confidence that students, at the peak of their careers, would bring new impetus to the journey of ‘Viksit Bharat’ through opportunities and collaborative efforts.
Among those who participated included Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Principal Secretary to Government Alok Kumar, along with Vice Chancellors, Heads, and faculty members from premier institutions in Jammu and Kashmir,   who were actively engaged in the workshop at Raj Bhawan Jammu, shared their valuable suggestions during the panel discussion on thematic areas to build a roadmap for students involvement and contribution in ‘Viksit Bharat@ 2047’.
