Srinagar, Dec 11: The Kashmir University (KU) Monday joined the live webcast of the launch of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ in the Media House Auditorium, EMRC (Educational Multimedia Research Centre) here.
KU registrar, deans of various schools, heads/directors/coordinators of different departments/centres, senior university functionaries, faculty, scholars and students attended the live webcast.
Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, Prof Nilofer Khan along with ten (10) other senior professors of the varsity attended the function at Raj Bhawan, Jammu.
In her message, the Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, Prof Nilofer Khan said that the future of a country depends on the novel and sustainable ideas of the talented youth it nourishes.
“This is a significant milestone that encourages innovation and empowers the creative potential of our youth by nurturing novel and sustainable ideas,” Prof Nilofer Khan said.
Prof Khan further said that the future prosperity and progress hinge upon the innovative spirit and sustainable concepts of the gifted youth and that ‘Viksit Bharat’ will harness their potential to shape a brighter tomorrow.
“The ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiative will encourage out-of-the-box thinking ecosystem, providing students with the resources and support systems necessary to transform their ideas into impactful solutions,” Prof Nilofer reiterated.
Registrar, KU, Dr Nisar Ahmad Mir said that by empowering the youth with the tools and encouragement to innovate, India is laying the foundation for a more resilient and forward-thinking society.
“The government has certain plans vis-à-vis the transformation of the youth for a better tomorrow as the initiative aims to ignite a culture of innovation that will contribute significantly to the nation’s development,” Dr Nisar said, adding that all (the youth) will be participating in this programme sharing novel ideas and critical feedback to ensure that India becomes a developed nation by the year 2047.
The vision aims to actively involve the youth in formulating plans, priorities and goals by providing them the required platforms to contribute ideas encompassing development, economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability and good governance.
Meanwhile, the varsity’s South and North campuses also attended the live webcast wherein the directors, senior functionaries, faculty, scholars and students of the respective campuses listened to the special address with enthusiasm.
