Jammu, Aug 07: GGM Science College, Jammu, Thursday conducted an intra-college seminar on the theme “Role of J&K Youth in Achieving Viksit Bharat 2047” under the visionary guidance and direction of Prof. (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of the College.As per a statement issued here, the event was organised as part of the Viksit Bharat initiative and was held under the supervision of Dr Revika Arora, Convener of the College Viksit Bharat Committee. The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, reflecting their deep sense of commitment towards nation-building and their vision for a developed India by 2047. After a rigorous and insightful competition, Rahul Kumar was adjudged the winner, followed by Merryleen, who secured the second position and Janvi Manhas, who claimed third place. The panel of jury members comprised Dr Rozy Bamba and Dr Shalini Sharma, who appreciated the quality of presentations and the clarity of ideas expressed by the participants. The event was also graced by the presence of Dr Ashaq Hussain, Associate Dean, Department of Student Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu, who commended the participants for their thoughtful deliberations. The success of the seminar was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the organising committee members, including Dr Neha Sharma, Prof. Poonam Kundan, Dr Nisha, Prof. Asha Sharmahal, Dr Reetika Rani, Dr Arti Heer, and Dr Mohd Muzaffar Sheikh. In a message, Prof. (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of the College, lauded the efforts of the Viksit Bharat Committee and congratulated all the participants for their thought-provoking presentations.
