Anantnag, Dec 12: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir held a membership review meeting for south Kashmir at Dak Bungalow, Anantnag, focusing on the party’s expanding outreach in the region.
The meeting was chaired by former Member of Parliament and BJP National Vice President Rekha Verma, along with Munish Khajuria, the Incharge of the BJP’s Primary Membership Drive in J&K. Senior BJP leaders, including Membership Drive Incharge for Kashmir, Prabharis and District Presidents from Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, and Pulwama, also attended the event.
Rekha Verma praised the Kashmir unit of the BJP for crossing the milestone of 1 lakh memberships in the region, saying this is due to the relentless efforts of party members. “This accomplishment reflects the growing trust and support of the people of Kashmir in the BJP’s vision and leadership,” she said.
The meeting was attended by district teams of Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama as well as members of the Mahila Morcha. BJP workers provided updates on ongoing membership initiatives and discussed strategies for future expansion with the leadership.
Munish Khajuria highlighted the importance of grassroots-level participation and called for consistent efforts to strengthen the party’s base in south Kashmir. The session reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to reaching every corner of Jammu and Kashmir, focusing on inclusivity and development.
