Pulwama, Dec 21: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has begun its march to municipal areas in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district after covering all 190 Panchayat Halqa over the past 25 days.
The transition to urban areas started with an event at Government Central High School in Pulwama town, attended by Dr. Sanket Kulkarni, Joint Director, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme , National Centre for Disease Control, New Delhi, along with ACD Pulwama, Dr. Peerzada Syed Farhat, and other officers.
Addressing a large gathering, Dr. Sanket Kulkarni emphasized the significance of utilising the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra as an optimal channel for the saturation of Government schemes.
He urged individuals to embrace the concept of becoming ‘Viksit’ personally by taking advantage of various government schemes, noting that people benefiting from these schemes contribute to the nation’s progress.
ACD Pulwama, Dr. Peerzada Syed Farhat, said that after covering all 190 Panchayat Halqa, they are now reaching 69 urban wards.
“The program will be conducted in every ward across different municipalities in the district with the aim of creating awareness about various government schemes,” he said.
Dr. Farhat highlighted that people can benefit from government schemes only when they have adequate information and knowledge about them.
“The program is also expected to help bridge gaps in the saturation of different schemes,” he said, “At the end of every program, we analyse if there is any scope for bridging gaps in the saturation of schemes, although most of them have already been saturated.”
