Vaibhav calls on CS, seeks bifurcation of ration cards

Jammu, Jan 08: Apni Party Senior Vice President, Jammu Urban, Vaibhav Mattoo on Monday called on Chief Secretary, J&K Atal Dulloo and highlighted the issue of bifurcation of ration cards.
As per a press release, Mattoo met the Chief Secretary to highlight concerns of the local population of Jammu. “I have conveyed to the Chief Secretary that the bifurcation of the ration cards is not being done by the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD),” said Matto, quoting his meeting with the Chief Secretary.
He said that the Chief Secretary was informed that the families face problems because their married children fail to get the government ration as per the quota per family. “Therefore, the ration cards should be bifurcated in the interest of the economically weaker and above power line people,” he said.
After listening to him patiently, the Chief Secretary assured him that his concern would be considered to address the issue, according to the statement.
