Srinagar, Apr 03: National Conference (NC) General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar on Thursday emphasised the importance of a strong organisational structure and unwavering support from people as key to success in the upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections.
Sagar in a statement issued here expressed confidence in the party’s readiness to overcome any challenges, thanks to the solid backing of the people.
He made these remarks while meeting with various public and individual delegations at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha. The discussions revolved around organisational strategies and detailed plans for the upcoming elections.
Addressing the party functionaries, Sagar highlighted the significance of a robust organisational setup and the unwavering support of the people in breaking the political deadlock in Jammu and Kashmir.
He commended the people for their active participation in previous elections, which resulted in a resounding victory for the NC.
The NC leader said the upcoming local body elections will further strengthen democracy in the region. “People demand transparency in governance, access to essential services, and a voice in decision-making processes. These are the changes they have witnessed following the elections,” Sagar said adding, “As a responsible party with a strong presence across the region, we cannot allow the BJP and its allies to dominate the democratic landscape.”
