Two Separate theft cases solved in Pulwama, accused arrested and stolen property worth lacs recovered

In a significant breakthrough, Police Station Pulwama successfully apprehended two individuals linked to separate theft cases, marking a triumph against rising incidents of thefts in the region.

The first case, reported on January 30, 2024, by Abdul Majeed and Ghulam Rasool Dar, that the thieves, under the cover of night, infiltrated the apple orchard and stole various items, on receipt of this information a case vide FIR No 19/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was taken up.

During the course of investigation efforts had been continuously made to trace out the unknown theif/Theives. Today on 31-01- 2024 One person namely Arif Hussain Dar S/o Abdul Khaliq Dar R/o Chakoora Arigam has been apprehended by this PS as the said individual is being found involved in the instant case while the stolen articles have also been recovered from the said person.

In a parallel operation, Bashir Ahmad Sheikh from Ladermad Awantipora was apprehended, leading to the recovery of stolen items related to Case FIR No. 334/2023 U/s 457,380 IPC, including Six Samawars and 14 Copper Plates.

Community members have lauded the efforts of Pulwama police for solving the case at its earliest. The public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, fostering a collaborative effort for a secure environment.
