Budgam, Dec 01: The Two minor children from the village of Mazhama in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday sustained injuries after an electrical switch plate was damaged due to a short circuit.
A police official from the Magam Police Station informed Rising Kashmir that the short circuit in the electrical switch produced sparks that ignited the wooden paneling, leading to the fire within the room.
“This incident occurred around 11 AM in the residence of Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Mohammed Wani, a resident of Mazhama Magam,” the official stated.
“This was a minor fire incident, and no property was significantly affected. However, the two young children sustained minor injuries. One child is six months old, while the other is two years old,” the official added.
He further said that both children are in stable condition and have been taken to a children’s hospital in Srinagar for treatment. Both children were sleeping in the room where this incident occurred.
