The ancestral shrine of Hazrat Makhdoom Sahib, part of the historic Raina dynasty and located in Tujar Sharief, has officially been declared spiritually independent, free from the administrative control of both central and state Waqf boards.
This announcement was made by Khwaja Farooq Renzushah, Chief Patron of the Makhdoom Trust, a private and registered Awqaf managing the shrine.
Renzushah highlighted that since 2004 that these holy of holiest shrines remain in unspecified category which proved highly beneficial to retain their spiritual Autonomy
Mohammad Sultan Makhdoomi, the shrine’s Sajada Nasheen said that during last several years several attempts were made by Waqf Authorities of earlier Kashmir specified Waqf and recently from combined J&K specified Waqf to take over control of the shrine. However, according to Mohammad Sultan Makhdoomi the construction of foundation & it’s stone laid by Khwaja Farooq Renzushah chief patron of trust, Late Shah Sahib, Jenab Mohammad Sultan Makhdoomi General Secretary of this Awaqaf.
“Late Peer Mohammad Yaseen of Harwan silenced and stopped them to take over as it would amount contempt of court which has registered it as private Awqaf. There are record that the foundation of Paith Astaan and Boen Astaan of Holy of holiest Tujar Sharief shrines was laid along thousands of devotees”, he said.
“Even threats came from radical anti-shrine elements and local MLA escaped out of fear from the site of foundation ceremony which is in record. Later radical gun men attacked Shrine where one devotee was killed and three critically injured.”
The specified waqf Act made in JK on advise of Zakir Naik during his arrival to valley in September 2003 on official protocol. Even in newly created Specified Waqaf Board on gun points from 2004 shady staff was appointed. Giving holy Tujar Sharief in their hands was out of Question by the Sajada Nasheens of holy Tujar Sharief. Such waqf of 2004 was not trusted to control Makhdoom Awaqaf.
The Makhdoom trust Makhdoom Awaqaf was created independent of any waqaf and registered in the honorable court in Srinagar which has entitled Makhdoom sahib shrines to remain spiritually independent. Now it is court only which can adjudicate any jurisdiction of Waqaf on private Makhdoom Awaqaf particularly Tujar sharief.
In Tujar sharief at Paeth Astataan where Hazrat Usmaan Raina and Bibi Mariyum Raina father and mother of Hazrat Hamza Raina & Hazrat Ali Raina are resting in holy Roza Sharief’s while in Boen Astan Baba Ali Raina and Baba Zeethi Raina grandfather are resting. At present General secretary of the trust Jenab Mohammad Sultan Makhdoomi along Jenab Farooq Khan of Boen Astan are managing the holy shrine while in Boen Astan Mohammad Amin Makhdoomi and Mohammed Ashraf Makhdoomi are managing spiritual management of the shrine.
The Raina dynasty in Kashmir was directly linked with Sultana Kota Rani and the Hyder Shah son of Sultan Sader ud deen. The Renaissance Mountain and Renaissance, mutual love and brother hood was the symbolic ideals of Sultan Alaw ud deen Hyder Shah, Kota Raina and Sultana Sheeba daughter of Kota Raina. She was mother of Zain ul Abideen Budshah.
The ancestral records of Zeethi Raina and Bibi Maryam Raina is connected with Sultans and Administrative set up of Kashmir. Tujar Sharief was holy birthplace of Hazrat Makhdoom sahib who shifted from Tujar Sharief to Srinagar when entire Srinagar was in crises. He spiritually saved Kashmir and revived Tasawwuf doctrines of Hazrat Abdul Rahman Bulbulshah and Amir e Kabir Shah Hamdan First in Kashmir based on Renaissance, mutual love and unity.
Renzushah said, “This is great news for lovers and devotees of Makhdoom sahib that our timely actions saved such sensitive shrines associated with Makhdoom sahib including Aham Sharief of Bandipora being in unspecified category. The new centre Waqf bill is silent about specified and non-specified therefore unless new Waqf and Awqaf created after 1990 is not brought under preview of centre Waqf how can Waqf forcefully take over only this Sufi dargah which is proved victim of such elements who created billions of fund oriented religious Waqf from 1990.”
Renzushah expressed confidence that now Tujar Sharief will not be touched by any such waqf unless they announce policies about all other unspecified waqf properties and funds.
