Training of farmers in ‘Art of Fruit & Vegetables Preservation’ concludes at Thathri

A valedictory programme was organised by Horticulture Department Doda to mark the conclusion of one month Training Programme in the ‘Art of Fruit and Vegetables preservation’ at Thathri.

Chief Horticulture officer Doda Rakesh Kotwal was the chief Guest, while the programme was also attended by MCC Bhaderwah Bharat Bhushan, BPM, Abdul Rouf and other officials of the Department. The programme was organized in collaboration with JKRLM Thathri.

The Chief Horticulture officer, in his addresses, asked the trainees to establish their own processing units by availing incentives under CAPEX/MIDH PMFMe and Agri Infrastructure Fund exclusively meant for the post harvest Management techniques and to exploit the available potential in the District. “This will not only make you self reliant but also help in doubling their income and reduce the post harvest losses” he said.
