Ganderbal, Apr 12: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Traffic Rural Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmed, led a successful operation, resulting in the seizure of more than 20 two-wheelers and the issuance of over 50 challans.
According to reports, DySP Gulzar Ahmed, accompanied by his team, established a checkpoint in Kijjpora Kangan, Ganderbal district, to intercept vehicles found violating traffic norms.
During the operation, the officer personally interacted with motorists, emphasizing the critical importance of adhering to traffic regulations. He particularly stressed the necessity of wearing helmets while riding bikes or scooters and cautioned against reckless driving, urging drivers to maintain safe speeds for the protection of themselves and others on the road.
The DySP called upon parents to actively participate in promoting road safety by monitoring their children’s access to vehicles. He highlighted the potential risks associated with inexperienced drivers and urged parents to prioritise the safety of their loved ones above all else.
