Three drug peddlers held in Baramulla and Kulgam

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said that it has arrested three drug peddlers in Baramulla and Kulgam districts.

 

 A Police spokesperson said, In Baramulla, Police under the supervision of Khalid Ashraf-JKPS, SDPO Kreeri assisted by Inspr Irfan Ahmad, SHO PS Chandoosa* arrested Drug Peddler namely Amir Hussain Khan S/O Abdul Aziz R/O Muran Tangwari Chandoosa who was arrested during naka checking at Rajpora Chandoosa.

 

During his personal search 25 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.

                                                                                                                                                                                      

 

                                                                                                 “Police under the supervision of Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by DySP Prob Naveed Ahmad, SHO PS Baramulla arrested drug peddler namely Mozim Manzoor S/O Manzoor Ahmad Bhat R/O Khadniyar Baramulla who was travelling in a Santro Vehicle bearing registration JK05E-0145 and was intercepted during naka checking at Gurdwara Chati Padshahi Crossing Baramulla”, he said.

 

During his personal search 22 grams of contraband Brown Sugar* like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately. The said vehicle has also been seized.

                                                                                                  He said that cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Chandoosa & Police Station Baramulla and investigations set in motion.

 

 

In Kulgam, A Police party from Police Station Kulgam led by SHO Kulgam while performing routine naka checking at Bogund crossing, Kulgam apprehended one of the notorious drug peddler namely:- Shakir Gulzar Bhat son of Gulzar Ahmad Bhat resident of Cenigam, Kulgam.On seeing the police party , the apprended person had tried to jump Naka party however the alert police party didn’t let him escape and after hectic efforts he was apprehended tactically .

 

On his personal search, Charas like contraband substance weighing 700 grams has been recovered from his possession. In this connection, Case FIR No. 11/2023 U/S 8/20 of NDPS Act stands registered in the Police Station Kulgam and investigation has been taken up.

 

It is pertinent to mention that such drug peddlers are hellbent on destroying the life of common people particularly the young generation by spreading the drugs in the society.
