Theft cases solved in Ganderbal, 03 accused arrested: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday solved theft cases by arresting three accused in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

 

A Police spokesperson said, “In the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora, Complaints from different areas were floating constantly regarding thefts of Angular Iron fitted in the fields, orchids of farmers for demarcation & fencing purposes etc.”

 

In this regard, FIR No.s 28, 32, 33 of 2023 under relevant sections were registered at PS Ganderbal.

 

“Subsequently, SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS constituted a special Police team led by DO PP Shadipora under the supervision of DySP HQR’S Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS. In a quick & swift action, the Police team busted a gang of burglars involved in the commission of the crime & multiple theft cases were solved by recovering a huge quantity of stolen Angular Iron on the instance of arrested burglars. During the investigation, it came fore that the stolen material was kept hidden by them under stagnant water near Chinar Bagh Narainbagh. Moreover, one load carrier bearing Regd. No. JK01M-3868 used by the gang for transporting stolen material has also been seized”, he said.

 

The accused disclosed their identities as: Arif Ahmad Saaid S/O Gulzar Ahmad Saaid R/O Narayan Bagh, Tariq Ahmad Mir S/O Gh Mohd Mir R/O Trigam & Mudasir Ahmad Guroo S/O Mehraj Ahmad Guroo R/O Narayan bagh. For the quick and timely response by Ganderbal Police, general public appreciated and hailed the efforts.
