Srinagar, June 22: Shubhranshu Singh, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Tata Motors’ Commercial Vehicles division, has been named to the prestigious Forbes World’s Most Influential CMOs List for 2025.

The announcement was made at the ongoing Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, where Forbes unveiled its annual lineup celebrating marketing leaders who are transforming the global brand landscape.

Singh’s inclusion on the list places him among an elite cohort of marketing visionaries recognized for their impact across digital strategy, cultural relevance, and business performance.

As a seasoned marketeer, columnist and thought leader, Singh has garnered acclaim for his ability to align brand storytelling with broader business and national goals.

Under his leadership, Tata Motors’ Commercial Vehicles division has seen a transformative shift-driven by purpose-led branding, strategic innovation and a deep understanding of India’s cultural and commercial dynamics.

His campaigns have consistently elevated the brand’s position as a future-ready, trusted mobility partner for businesses across the country.

“Forbes’ recognition is a testament to how marketing today is not just about building brands-it’s about shaping conversations, impacting communities and driving sustainable growth.

The 2025 Forbes list was curated using a blend of performance metrics, including campaign effectiveness, digital engagement, media visibility, societal impact and business outcomes.

Singh joins a global roster of marketing heavyweights that has included past honorees like William White (Walmart), Lorraine Twohill (Google) and Alex Schultz (Meta).

Adding to his recent accolades, Singh was earlier this week inducted into the inaugural board of the Effie LIONS Foundation, a newly launched non-profit headquartered in New York.

The foundation aims to empower and support the next generation of marketing professionals, with a strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion and mentorship for underrepresented communities.

Singh’s recognition underscores the evolving role of the CMO, now central to shaping culture, influencing public discourse and driving innovation at scale. ANI
