T-20 Police Cricket League-DKR: Youth Club Bhaderwah, Farida Club Baleesa beat their rivals,sails into finals

Jammu, Nov17:  Defeating their rivals convincingly in their league matches and semi-finals, Youth Club Bhaderwah and Farida Club Balessa sailed in the finals of T-20 Police Cricket League –DKR which is being organized by DKR Range Police Headquarters Batote at Cricket Stadium Doda.
The league is being organized under the guidance of Dr Sunil Gupta DIG DKR Range Batote, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee is Abdul Qayoom SSP Doda whereas Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer Doda is the coordinator of the league.   
Twenty-Four Teams of the three Districts including Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar have been participated in this league wherein top four teams namely Youth Club Bhaderwah, Farida Club Balessa and qualified for the semi-finals.
The main objective of the league is to provide a perfect platform to the local youths of three districts so that they can show cause their cricketing talent and hone their skills and to engage the youth in sports activities to keep them away from the social evils like drug menace. The slogan of the league is “khelo khel and Bhullo Nasha”   
Today in the first Semifinal match Youth Club Bhaderwah defeated Aryan Club Banihal by 47 runs. Batting first Youth Club Bhaderwah scored 167 runs for the loss of allwickets in 19.4 overs wherein Irfan made 69 runs, while Babar Hussain scored 32 runs.  From the bowling side Mustaq took 4 wickets while Draboo Asif took 3 wickets.
In reply Aryan Cricket Club Banihal managed to score 120 runs for the loss of all wickets in 18 overs with Asrar 24 runs and Azim 23 runs. From the Bowling side Adil Wani took 4 wickets and Danish Wani took 2 wickets Irfan declared Man of the Match for his brilliant batting. 
In the second semifinal Farida Cricket Club Balessa defeated Warrior Cricket Club Kishtwar by wickets. Batting first Warrior Cricket Club Kishtwar managed to score only 70 runs for all wickets with Amir Nageeb 21 and Sawan Mahi 13 runs. From the bowling side Kewel Kotwal took 4 wickets while Jatinder Singh took 3 wickets. In reply Farida Club Bhaderwah chased the target in 10 overs by losing 1 wicket thus won the match 9 wickets. Umar 34 and Amir 19 runs were the main scorers. From the bowling side Arif took the single wicket for his team.     
DIG DKR Range Sunil Gupta and SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom congratulated the finalist’s team for their brilliant performance in their league and semifinal and to steel birth in the final.
DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal was the Chief Guest in the semifinal matches. While speaking on the occasion he appreciated the role of DIG DKR and SSP Doda for providing a great platform to the thousands of youths in the sports activities so that they may not derail from the main stream.
Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player and Coordinator of the league informed that the grand finale of the league shall be conducted on next week and Cash prize of Rs. 1 Lac. to the Winners and Rs. 50 K to Runner Up team will be awarded.
