Srinagar, Feb 18: Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, Sunday said that everything is in place for the highly anticipated Khelo India Winter Games 4th edition which will take place in Ski-resort Gulmarg.
The Secretary of the Sports Council highlighted that all arrangements have been made by the administration for the successful conduct of the winter games, set to commence on the 21st of February.
“In Gulmarg, the entire administration, along with the dedicated staff, is putting in every effort to ensure the resounding success of India’s Winter Games,” Gul said.
Accommodations and other arrangements have been finalized, and all plans for the grand event have been executed to ensure the smooth and successful execution of this major sports event.
Every effort is being made to transform this place into a dreamland where the Games will take place. It is noteworthy that, just before the start of the games, Gulmarg received fresh snowfall, enhancing the charm of this picturesque ski resort.
800 athletes from different states and Union territories are participating in the Khelo India Games in Gulmarg this year, with each game featuring its top players.
The winter games were initially scheduled for the first week of February but were later rescheduled to the 21st of Feb due to a lack of snow and a continuous dry spell.
The Secretary of the Sports Council stressed every effort is being made by the administration for the grand success of the event.

In his message, Tendulkar shared his sentiments, highlighting the importance of fair play in sports. “Enjoy sports; I know it’s a competition, everyone wants to win; try to play it in the fairest way possible,” he encouraged.
