The 434 km long Srinagar-leh highway which was closed on Tuesday following heavy snowfall for traffic near Zojila pass Friday reopens for traffic.
Official sources said that following fresh snowfall near Zojila pass,Meenmarg,Gumri,Captain mode,Shaitani Nallah,and other dangerous places Tuesday the highway was closed for traffic by traffic police authorities as precautionary measures.
Sources further said around five to six inches of fresh snow had accumulated on the Zojila pass,Gumri,and Zero Point.
Traffic police sources told Rising Kashmir that after three days and the restoration of good weather the stranded vehicles opened to their ultimate destination.
