Sports Zone Gandhi Nagar emerges winner in Basketball, Badminton competitions

Jammu July 24: The Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K organised Inter Zonal District Level Competitions for boys U-17 and U-14 years age group in Badminton at MAM Stadium here.
Sports Zone Gandhi Nagar lifted final trophies in Badminton U-14 & U-17 Yrs while beating Sports Zone Jammu in Badminton and Zone Satwari in the game of Basketball.
These competitions were organised under the patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports J&K Subash Chander Chhibber.
The competitions were officiated by a panel of experts of the Department. The officials, convenors and other technical officials were deployed for the smooth conduct of these competitions.
The main aim of these tourneys was to select the best player for the next level of competition coming ahead. Ravi Sharma Deputy Director Planning of YS&S distributed trophies among the winner and runner up teams. District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu along with technical officials and other senior officials of the Department were present at the concluding ceremony.

U-17 Badminton: Zone Gandhi Nagar beat Zone Jammu by 2-0 sets
U-14 Badminton: Zone Gandhi Nagar beat Zone Jammu by 2-0 sets
U-14(First Semi Final) Basketball: Zone Gandhi Nagar beat Zone Akhnoor by 20-5 sets
U-14(Second Semi Final) Basketball: Zone Gandhi Nagar beat Zone Akhnoor by 22-2 sets
Final: Zone Gandhi Nagar beat Zone Satwari by 22-16 points.
