Baramulla, Aug 19: Coaching centres operating in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have been issued a stern warning by authorities for conducting classes during school hours which is a direct violation of government directives.
Amid the mounting complaints against private coaching centres for their disregard of government mandates, the officials have stepped forward to address the issue.
Despite explicit orders from the government, some private coaching centres have been accused of holding classes during school hours, which is adversely affecting the academic schedules of the students.
In response to these concerns, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, SA Raina chaired an important meeting which brought together key stakeholders, including principals of government higher secondary schools, zonal education officers (ZEOs) and heads of various coaching centres.
During the meeting, unequivocal directives were issued to all coaching centres operating within the Sopore sub-division, prohibiting them from conducting classes for students, regardless of whether they attend government or privately recognised schools, during regular school hours.
Addressing the matter, the ADC said that surprise inspections of coaching institutions would be conducted. He warned of serious consequences for those found violating the established norms.
“The authorities are committed to upholding government-prescribed guidelines and ensuring that coaching institutes adhere to the specified regulations,” Raina said.
