The Gurez valley located 84 Kilometers from district headquarters had been cut off from December after snowfall blocked the only road connecting Gurez to rest of the world.
Consequently, the district administration has been sending helicopters to ferry those needing assistance; however, these chopper services are also inexpediently hampered by inclement weather, leading the inhabitants to confront considerable distress.
