Baramulla, Nov 24: Sopore administration in north Kashmir Baramulla district is going to organise free NEET/JEE pattern examinations for students.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, lauded the outstanding academic performance of local students and announced this initiative to assess their proficiency levels to foster healthy competition.
The ADC Sopore said the administration has collaborated with a coaching institution to conduct these examinations without any cost to the students.
Expressing concern over the academic progress and personal challenges faced by students, he said discussions with heads of various educational institutions paved the way for this “strategic move”.
The NEET/JEE pattern examinations, designed to gauge the preparedness of students, will kick off on Saturday, marking the first phase.
“Students from 10th, 11th, and 12th classes, along with those who have passed, qualified, unqualified, or dropped out, are eligible to partake in these exams,” the ADC Sopore said.
He encouraged other coaching agencies to join hands with the administration, saying such collaborative efforts are important for securing a brighter future for Sopore’s students.
Acknowledging the need for improvement in the results of past competitive exams in Sopore, the ADC expressed optimism that this joint venture would provide substantial support to students in reaching their academic aspirations.
