SKIMS to celebrate Organ Donation Day

Srinagar, Aug 02: The Kidney Transplant Unit at Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) is set to commemorate “Organ Donation Day” on Saturday, August 3. This event will feature addresses from prominent legal, religious, and social figures, including Retired Justice Bashir A. Kirmani, Maulana Mufti Nazir A. Qasmi, Aga Syed Mudasir Hasan Rizvi, Navtej Singh, Satish Vimal, and Dr. Mushtaq A. Rather.
The program aims to raise public awareness about the importance of organ donation and encourage individuals to pledge their organs for donation. The event is part of a nationwide initiative by the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO) to promote organ donation.
Under the patronage of SKIMS Director Dr. Mohd Ashraf Ganie, the Kidney Transplant Unit is spearheading this initiative.
