Seven persons held for illegal excavation & transportation of minerals in Budgam

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday seized 06 Dumpers, 01 tractor & arrests 07 persons for illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

 

A Police spokesperson said that During Naka Checking at Magraypora Bapora, police party of Police Station Chadoora intercepted 06 Dumpers carrying illegally extracted bed minerals for transportation. Accordingly, police party seized all 06 dumpers and arrested 06 drivers on spot.

 

 

 “The arrested drivers were subsequently identified as Anayatullah Khan S/o Abdul Aziz R/o Ladoo, Khrew, Abdul Qayoom Wani S/o Jalaludin R/o Batapora Ladoo, Abid Mushtaq Lone S/o Mushtaq Ahmad R/o Shar shali Pampore, Arfat Ashraf Khanday S/o. Muhammad Ashraf R/o Mage Pampore, Aejaz Ahmad Ganai S/o. Gulam Muhammad R/o Ladoo Pampore, Mushtaq Ahmad Kumar S/o Muhammad Ismail R/o Ladoo Pampore.Registration numbers of sezied dumpers are JK13H/ 1531, JK13G / 0535, JK01AQ / 8222, JK01AP /5777, JK13E/ 2059*

JK13F /5777″, he said.

 

“During a similar action at Bugroo Khansahib, police party of police station Khansahib intercepted one tractor carrying illegally excavated bed minerals from Nalla Shali-Ganga. The tractor has been seized and driver arrested on spot who has been identified as Ishfaq Ahmed Bhat S/o Bashir Ahmed Bhat R/o Shamasabad Khansahib.”

 

The spokesperson said that case FIR numbers 34/2023 & 13/2023 under relevant sections of law stands registered against the accused at Police station Chadoora & Police Station Khansahib respectively and investigation set into motion.
