Srinagar, July 13: Director of Sericulture J&K, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat chaired a UT-Level Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting at the Directorate of Sericulture Development Department J&K, Tulsi Bagh, Srinagar during which 28 employees were cleared for promotion to higher posts.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhat said these promotions are crucial in recognising the hard work and dedication of the employees. He said the special UT-Level DPC meeting was held under the guidance of Principal Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department J&K, Shailendra Kumar. Bhat expressed his gratitude for the support provided by Kumar, which has been instrumental in the successful conduct of the meeting.
The Director assured that in the future, these DPC meetings will be conducted on time, ensuring that eligible and deserving employees receive their due recognition and career advancement opportunities without unnecessary delays. He reiterated the department’s commitment to fostering a culture of meritocracy and timely rewards for its workforce. He urged all employees who fall under the consideration zone to submit their complete documents timely for their promotion to higher posts.
The promotion of these 28 employees marks a significant step towards strengthening the Sericulture Development Department, which will certainly enhance productivity and efficiency, the department said in a press release, adding that it continues to strive for excellence, always encouraging its staff and ensuring they are motivated and well-equipped to meet future challenges.
Director Bhat congratulated the promoted employees, expressing hope that they will work with renewed zeal and zest and discharge their duties to the best of their abilities. He assured them of resolving all their genuine service matters and demands, such as the revision of recruitment rules and the fixing of seniority in some cadres.
The employees of the department hailed the efforts of the Director Sericulture, who, they said, has taken on board the concerned authorities to ensure the welfare and promotion aspects of employees under his control.
The Director concluded the meeting by thanking the Additional Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department, and other members of the DPC for attending the meeting. The Additional Secretary and other attendees also thanked the Chair on the occasion.
