Secy Pahari Board reviews functioning of Pahari hostels in Baramulla, Kupwara

Praises administrations, calls for innovative methods for student development

Baramulla/Kupwara, May 28: Secretary J&K Advisory Board for Development of Pahari Speaking People, Sapna Kotwal undertook an intensive tour of Baramulla and Kupwara districts to review the functioning of Pahari hostels for boys and girls there.
During the inspection at Baramulla, the Secretary expressed her satisfaction with the hostel’s operations, which she said are being administered and monitored properly. The staff there provided a detailed insight into the hostel’s functioning. Students are receiving healthy nutrition and have access to various recreational facilities provided by the J&K PSP Board.
Sapna noted that the students were not only intellectually capable but also well-versed in basic education, benefiting from a healthy and conducive environment. She encouraged the adoption of innovative methods to make the students more dynamic. The Secretary distributed lunch boxes among the hostel inmates.
During inspection of Boys Hostel Kupwara, it was found that inmates were very happy there, and thankful to the government for providing such facilities. They received lunch boxes distributed by the Secretary J&K PSP Board.
During the inspection of Girls Hostel Kupwara, the inmates of the hostel interacted with Sapna Kotwal and expressed gratitude for the arrangement and facilities being provided by the J&K PSP Board.
All the Pahari Hostels in Baramulla and Kupwara districts were found well maintained and ably administered, where students were being given healthy nutrition, uniform and other playway facilities by the J&K PSP Board.
She said students are quite brainy and well-equipped with the basics of education and are being provided with a healthy environment for their overall development.
Sapna Kotwal directed all the concerned wardens to use innovative methods to make the students more dynamic.
The Secretary J&K PSP committed to fulfill some demands of inmates and staff working in these hostels and assured them that the matter will be taken up with the Administrative Department on priority basis.
