Srinagar, June 20: Businessman-turned-political activist Sandeep Mawa, along with a group of supporters, affixed the Indian national flag on the main door of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front’s (JKLF) office in Srinagar’s Bohri Kadal locality on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters here, Sandeep Mawa expressed his belief that Kashmiris will not tolerate any activities against the nation. He highlighted the history of the JKLF’s involvement in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir since the 1960s.
“The JKLF is a banned separatist outfit, and its offices have remained mostly closed since the revocation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019,” he said.
Mawa emphasized that the institution could be used for various purposes, but anti-national activities would not be allowed. Mawa envisioned a new Jammu and Kashmir where Kashmiri Muslims and Pandits would come together to foster development and progress on the path of peace.
This is not the first time that Mawa has displayed his patriotic fervor. Last year, on August 3, he had affixed two national flags on the gate of the Hurriyat Conference office in the Rajbagh area.
Mawa condemned anti-national activities and expressed a vision of unity and development for Jammu and Kashmir
