Srinagar, June 20: The Srinagar office of Registrar of Companies (ROC) UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh has successfully concluded its legal traineeship program for the third and fourth batches. The program witnessed the participation of 10 law students from the School of Law, University of Kashmir, aiming to provide them with practical training and equip them with essential skills for their future careers.
The program concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony held at the ROC office in Srinagar. The trainees who successfully completed the program were awarded certificates signed by the Regional Director, Northern Region of the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The participants were enrolled in two successive batches, each consisting of five students. The training duration ranged from 3 to 6 months.
During the ceremony, Haamid Bukhari, the officer in charge at the ROC Kashmir office, expressed his satisfaction with the successful culmination of the program. He stated, “We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the legal traineeship program. This program provided young lawyers with an excellent opportunity to enhance their skills and gain real-world experience. We believe that this initiative has prepared them well for their future careers and wish them the best in their future endeavors.”
The trainees expressed their gratitude towards the ROC office for providing them with a valuable experience. They shared their learnings and experiences from the program and thanked the ROC office for their guidance and support. Ms. Yussra, a fourth-year law student, emphasized the significance of opportunities like this in the growing field of corporate law, both in India and globally. Mr. Khaleel F. Shah, a fifth-year law student, highlighted the practical experience gained during the program, including working on real-life cases and interacting with clients, which enhanced his communication and problem-solving skills.
The office of the Registrar of Companies (ROC) has been extremely supportive throughout the program, offering guidance and mentorship to the trainees. The certificate distribution ceremony was a proud moment for the participants, and they expressed their hope that the office continues to offer such programs in the future to help young legal professionals gain practical experience and prepare for their careers.
It is worth noting that the Srinagar office of Registrar of Companies has provided skills training and opportunities to over 20 graduate and undergraduate law students in the past two years. This legal traineeship program is the first of its kind in corporate law for young students pursuing BA LLB or LLB degrees.
